DISC BRAKES

Disc brakes are usually found on the front wheels and use flat brake pads to squeeze against the outside surface of a spinning rotor (disc) which is attached to the wheel. Disc brakes provide more stopping power than drum brakes do, they do not fade when hot, and they work better when wet.
